Days 2 and 3 were spent with Genti’s immediate family.  Genti’s home is in a small town called Iba about 15 minutes outside the capital city of Tirana.  There we were able to reunite 5 of his 6 siblings, as well as spouses, fiancés, and cousins.  While we enjoyed catching up with each other, the best part was watching the little people interact with each other, thereby entertaining all of us big people!  Bjorni is 17 months old, Arsa is 16 months, and Noah almost 13 months, so of course he likes to do what his cousins are doing!  One strange phenomenon we have noticed is that among Genti’s siblings and various spouses there are at least 9 different cell phone numbers (not counting our own)!  We filled our phonebook just with the numbers of Saliu family members.  Yikes!  Keeping track of this family is going to keep us busy. 

Next week we will make visits to some extended family members including Genti’s only Grandfather, several Uncles and Aunts, and many cousins, which means we will have our fill of chocolates, candies, and various carbonated drinks.
